The task: A new administration and operations building was to be constructed on the grounds of the municipal depot in Lorsch in order to meet the growing demands with regard to the number of employees and the state of the art.

The implementation: For this purpose, an existing building was demolished and the new building was built on almost the same site. This meant, for example, that the social rooms, which had been provisionally housed in a "barrack" on the site, could move into modern premises.

For economic and static reasons, we decided, together with the client, to build the ground and upper floors in solid construction and the attic in timber post-and-beam construction. The social rooms with a spacious recreation room as well as changing rooms and shower areas for men and women are now located on the upper floor, while the ground floor and attic accommodate attractive office space for the depot and for external tenants.
