The task: A building complex with a large green outdoor area is to be constructed on a corner site in Mannheim for an electrical engineering company.

The implementation: The development consists of a three-storey office building, which is connected to a two-storey social building via a common basement and a central atrium. A one-storey workshop is directly connected to the social building. All roof areas are greened and partly equipped with photovoltaic systems. The building complex is heated and cooled in an energy-sustainable manner without the use of fossil fuels by means of component activation of the ceilings and geothermal energy (groundwater heat pump) and decentralised ventilation with controlled heat recovery.
